Consultation for the Treatment of Lines or Wrinkles

If you would like a consultation with one of our dentists, please speak to a member of our team.

What are Dermal Fillers used for?

With age we can start to lose the volume in our face. This can cause line formation, hollows under our eyes or around our mouth. Our lips can start to lose volume and shape too, with the lip corners turning downwards. These changes can also occur due to weight loss, stress, smoking or excessive sun exposure. And can lead to a tired looking face and sometimes unhappy appearance.

Juvederm® is our dermal filler of choice. It is made of hyaluronic acid – a natural product already found within our skin.

How do Dermal Fillers work?

Juvederm® is injected into the areas being treated using a very fine needle to replace the volume that has been lost, causing an immediate plumping effect and smoothing the fine lines in the area treated. This immediately creates a more youthful appearance.

Are Dermal Fillers safe?

Dermal fillers should only be administered by trained clinicians. These treatments provide a convenient, minimally invasive option that delivers outstanding, natural-looking results. Although mild bruising can occur immediately following your treatment, this heals quickly – and you will start to notice the added volume right away.

Coronavirus (Covid-19) - Emergency Service Information

WE ARE NOW OPEN MONDAY – FRIDAY helping our patients who are on our list and have waited during the lock-down for urgent treatment.

We hope to resume routine appointments in August.

Please don’t ring us to book check-up appointments at the moment.

Our dentists are keen to start providing routine check-ups and treatments but we are asking our patients to bear with us a little longer so that we can prioritise patients needing urgent treatment.

Our Standard Operating Procedures state that any surgery where an aerosol generated procedures (AGP) take place must be left empty for an hour and then thoroughly cleaned. We are also limited in the number of patients we can have in the practice at any one time.

Please do not call the surgery to make routine check-up appointments. Once we have cleared our urgent list of patients, we will contact those patients who had treatment booked with us and were cancelled due to the lock-down. Hopefully then we will get back on track in August, providing routine check-ups and treatment as normal, even if we may look a little different when you visit.

Out of hours emergency service covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Many of our patients will be aware that we share an emergency out of hours’ dental emergency service covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays with two local dental surgeries. This service will continue as normal. The emergency service can be contacted on 077 6735 3759 and operates from 6pm - 9pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 9pm at weekends and bank holidays.

If you are a Denplan registered patient, the cost of this service is included in your plan unless you specifically elected to opt out of the emergency out of hours cover. The choice to opt out will have only applied to patients who registered from August 2018. If in doubt, please check your registration paperwork or call 0800 401 402 to speak to one of their customer support team. If you have internet access, you can search Denplan for information through their patient portal. Before contacting the emergency service, please have your Denplan registration number to hand as you will be asked for it when you call. Please Note: patients registered with Gidea Park Dental Practice on Denplan Care will not incur any additional costs for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Please be aware, although treatment and call out charges are covered under Denplan Care, PPE is not, so please check with the individual practice covering as to whether you may be asked to pay a (PPE) charge if you require emergency treatment.

If you are a pay-as-you go patient accessing this service, we may not be on call. It is important you are aware that individual practices set their own fees. We would urge you to check the fees with the dentist who may be arranging treatment for you.

You can also find lots of self-help information on the homepage after you close this window.
